Juan Carlos of Jesús-María

Juan Carlos (or “JuanCa” for short) is what many today are calling an “indigenous missionary.” He’s a friend of mine, he’s become part of our ministry here, and so I’d like to introduce him to you.
JuanCa is originally from San José and has pastored a church in a rural area of Costa Rica called San Mateo for the last three years; it’s about 30 minutes from the Pacific Coast (and two or three hours from San José where we live). His church is actually in a small town in San Mateo called “Jesús-María,” and from the name you can guess that it’s very catholic.
